We want to draw your attention to the Symposium 14 at the meeting of the European Astronomical Society, titled: “From small-scale solar phenomena to stellar contexts: observational breakthroughs, theoretical advances, and space weather implications.” The EAS meeting is taking place between June 29 and July 3, 2026, in Lausanne, Switzerland: https://eas.unige.ch/EAS_meeting/session.jsp?id=S14

The symposium is aimed at solar physics topics and their relevance to space weather and stellar physics. We are looking to bring together researchers in high-resolution solar physics, solar activity, space weather, heliospheric studies and stellar physics. The goal is to present the latest developments and together identify the Sun’s relevance for modern astrophysics. We strongly encourage you to consider attending this symposium at EAS 2026.
Deadline for abstracts is the 3rd of March.

SOC: Franziska Zeuner (IRSOL), Carlos José Díaz Baso (UiO), Marian Martínez González (IAC; Co-chair), Ivan Millic (KIS; Co-chair), Hanna Strecker (IAA-CSIC), J. Sebastián Castellanos Durán (MPS; Chair).

*Please note that at EAS 2026, there will be another solar special session 34 about EST. This session is scheduled to avoid overlapping with our symposium, allowing participants to attend both events.
