The Mixer is an informal reception where students and early-career researchers attending AAS/SPD can connect with each other and with established members of the solar physics community. We will provide light refreshments for an end-of-the-day pick-me-up.
Whether you are early in your career, a senior researcher, or anywhere in between, there is something of value for everyone. For those just starting their careers, this is a unique opportunity to build professional connections, ask questions, and get to know members of the community in a relaxed setting. For more established researchers, it is a chance to meet the next generation of scientists, share experiences and advice, and help foster a welcoming and supportive community.
We encourage everyone to attend—even if you don’t know anyone yet or only have time to stop by briefly. Some of the most valuable collaborations, mentoring relationships, and friendships in our field begin with a casual conversation.
