Solar Variability and Climate Group at MPS has an open position to be filled as soon as possible. The successful candidate is expected to start around 1 September 2025 and will work on the project “How strongly does the solar ultraviolet radiation vary? – Understanding the sources of the solar brightness variations in the UV”: https://www.mps.mpg.de/phd/solar-uv-radiation-variation
In addition to a strong interest in solar physics and solar variability, applicants should have a proven track record of academic excellence. They must hold, or be about to obtain, an M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in physics, astronomy, or a related field, and demonstrate proficiency in English.
