Registration and abstract submission are open for the Solar MHD 2026 conference.

It will take place in A Coruña, Spain, August 10-14, 2026, during the week of the total solar eclipse. The conference location is inside the path of totality.  The conference will include expert and outreach eclipse talks.

The registration fee is 350 GBP. It covers standard conference expenses, including the icebreaker, conference dinner and all lunches.

The detailed information can be found on the conference webpage: https://sites.google.com/sheffield.ac.uk/pdg/seminars-and-conferences/solar-mhd/solar-mhd-2026

The meeting sessions are planned regarding:
* Eclipse and coronal observations and their connection to simulations
* Spectral synthesis and simulated data
* Machine learning and big data in solar physics
* Waves, turbulence, reconnection, and vortices
* Multi-fluid and partially ionized plasma models
* Enhanced MHD, hybrid models and next-generation MHD simulations
* Multi-layer studies of solar magnetic features and solar magnetism through polarimetry

Interactive hands-on sessions will highlight modern numerical codes and data analysis tools. It will provide practical training, foster collaboration, and serve as a platform for developing future research projects and funding proposals.

Important note: Accommodation in A Coruña is expected to be in very high demand during the conference week due to the eclipse. A limited number of rooms have been reserved for conference participants by the organizers. The deadlines for room bookings are February 20th (students’ accommodation) and March 31st (hotel). Please visit the conference webpage for more details.
