Duration: 3 years (full-time)
Start: Preferred July – October 2026
This position is funded by the Research Council of Norway (FRIPRO Young Research Talents) project ReCon²: “Resolving the Solar Convective Conundrum: A Full-Physics Approach to Solar Convection.” The postdoc will work with next-generation fully compressible (M)HD solar convection simulations and perform quantitative comparisons to helioseismic/observational constraints, including development of robust, reproducible analysis workflows for large simulation datasets.
Desired profile: candidates with strengths in one or more of:
* helioseismology/asteroseismology and simulation–observation comparison,
* simulation analysis (Python; HPC-scale data handling),
* research software development/performance-oriented coding.
