The AGU SPA Early Career Leadership Advisory Committee (EC-LAC) is preparing a Perspectives article on the current funding environment and how it is affecting early career researchers.
As part of this effort, we would like to hear from mid-career and senior colleagues about what the funding landscape was like when you were at a similar career stage. Did you face similar challenges? What was your “big break” in terms of funding, projects, or career opportunities? Do you think today’s environment is more or less difficult than the one you navigated?
We invite you to share your thoughts through a short survey. We also hope to conduct a few longer interviews with colleagues who are willing to discuss their experiences in more depth.
