The National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST) is pleased to announce the first data release of existing DL-NIRSP datasets from Cycle 2 and Cycle 3.  DL-NIRSP is an advanced integral field unit spectropolarimeter that observes in up to three wavelengths simultaneously.  In total, 227 DL-NIRSP datasets are now available via the DKIST Data Center Data Archive, and 207 of these are currently open for public use.

The DL-NIRSP team has prepared an extensive tutorial notebook that demonstrates 1) loading the DL-NIRSP data, 2) examining its metadata and spatial coordinates, 3) spatial reconstruction of the mosaic datasets, and 4) ad hoc correction of residual flat field and polarization effects. This tutorial notebook is available on GitHub: https://github.com/sajaeggli/DL-NIRSP-Data-Analysis

Please address any questions that you may have to the DKIST Help Desk.
