The website accepting Late Abstracts for the SPD meeting in August is now open. Please join us! I just attended the AAS meeting in Pasadena where Yi-Ming Wang gave his Hale Prize lecture. Don’t worry, he will give it again at the SPD meeting. The volume of work Yi-Ming has accomplished in his 50-year career is truly amazing. You don’t want to miss the three prize lectures at the SPD meeting.
In the last Chair’s Chat, I told you about the feedback we received from the community and the letter we then sent to the NASA Heliophysics Leadership. We put a copy of that letter on our website here. Thank you to all that sent us feedback and all that helped distill that feedback into this letter.
Speaking of our website, did you know that we have had an amazing webmaster in Alisdair Davey for many years? I asked around and no one could even remember when he started this volunteer job. James Mason recently volunteered to help Alisdair out. I really appreciate both Alisdair and James for taking on the task of keeping our website up to date. I will be working with them to get all of our committees updated before the SPD meeting.
Until next time,
Amy
