Calling all Summer REU and Internship Programs in Solar and Heliophysics!

Calling all summer REU and internship programs in Solar and Heliophysics! Does your REU or internship program provide students with funding to present the results of their summer research project at a professional meeting? This year’s SPD is a standalone meeting, giving us the opportunity to incorporate aspects that are more difficult in the larger meetings. Additionally, the timing (SPD this year will be August 9-14 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore’s inner harbor), coincides with the end of many internship/REU programs but prior to the return to campus for many students. The SPD Committee plans to accommodate late poster abstracts and late registrations from such students at this year’s SPD meeting and include them in the usual planned early-career and student events at SPD (such as the student afternoon August 9th, an Early Career Mixer, Student Poster competition). To make the logistics work for this, we need your help! Please help us get an idea of how many programs and students are interested by filling out this quick Google Form  https://forms.gle/jGdft5DGEmjLWPyN7 with your REU/internship’s program’s information and a best guess at number of students.
