The 2026 Space Weather Workshop will be held in person along with a virtual component, April 27- May 1, 2026 in Boulder, CO at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boulder. This meeting will bring together Federal agencies, the academic community, the private sector, and international partners to focus on the diverse impacts of space weather, forecasting techniques, and recent scientific advances in understanding and predicting conditions in the space environment.
The workshop addresses the remarkably diverse impacts of space weather on today’s technology. The program highlights space weather impacts in several areas including communications, navigation, spacecraft operations, human space exploration, aviation, emergency management, space traffic coordination, and the bulk electric system. The workshop will also focus on the highest priority needs for operational services that can guide future research and new high-value capabilities that can be transitioned into operations. The workshop fosters communication among researchers, space weather service providers, commercial services and users of space weather services.
The Space Weather Workshop is coordinated by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research | CPAESS and co-sponsored by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, the NSF Directorate for Geosciences. and the NASA Heliophysics Division.
