The SO/PHI team is glad to announce the fourth release of the SO/PHI-HRT L2 dataset acquired in the whole 2024 during the Remote Sensing Windows (RSW) 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 of Solar Orbiter’s mission.

The L2 data consists of the full Stokes vector and results of the RTE inversion. Data can be downloaded from the Solar Orbiter Archive (SOAR,  http://soar.esac.esa.int/soar/), and essential information about the content of this release is provided here(see PHI section).

SO/PHI-HRT scientific data were taken in a period covering 26 February to 15 April and 25 September to 24 October 2024, i.e. during the two perihelion passages by Solar Orbiter during 2023. The first three data releases, already available on SOAR, included the SO/PH-HRT L2 dataset of RSW 1 to 12 (version 1).

An overview of the released data, including quicklook thumbnails and information about the quality of each released data set, is available here. We suggest consulting that website before using the data set for scientific applications.

Additional information about the scientific data can be found on the SO/PHI webpage www.mps.mpg.de/solar-physics/solar-orbiter-phi. If you need any help or if you have any special requests, please contact the PHI team at [email protected]. We would also be grateful for any feedback about problems or issues encountered in using SO/PHI data.
