We are pleased to announce the upcoming School on “Heliospheric Space Plasma Physics in the Era of Multipoint Space Missions,” to be held in L’Aquila, Italy, from 18 to 22 May 2026. The school is directed by Prof. Francesco Berrilli (University of Rome Tor  Vergata), Prof. Giuseppe Consolini (National Institute for Astrophysics – INAF), and Prof. William Matthaeus (University of Delaware, USA), and is organized by the Consorzio “Area di Ricerca in Astrogeofisica.”

Overview and Objectives: this school will provide a comprehensive introduction to the pivotal role of multipoint measurements in advancing our understanding of heliospheric space plasma physics, spanning from the Sun to Earth’s magnetospheric environment. Multipoint measurements are essential for investigating fundamental phenomena, including magnetic reconnection, plasma turbulence, shock wave formation, and particle acceleration, as well as for analyzing the 3D structure of the solar corona, tracking solar eruptions, and understanding solar wind initiation and propagation. The course aims to bridge data from upcoming space missions with next-generation ground-based observatories, offering a holistic view of contemporary heliospheric research.

Target Audience: the school is designed for graduate and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, young scientists, and early-career professionals in physics, astrophysics, heliophysics, space plasma physics, planetary sciences, and related disciplines. Advanced undergraduates are also encouraged to apply.

Application Deadline: applications must be submitted by 1 March 2026.
