CHIANTI IDL Software Now on GitHub

The CHIANTI IDL software is now available via GitHub: https://github.com/chianti-atomic/chianti-idl. Users are encouraged to submit bug reports related to the IDL software via the issue tracker: https://github.com/chianti-atomic/chianti-idl/issues. To do so,  click the green button labeled “New Issue” at the link provided and describe your problem, ideally providing a minimal code example that illustrates the problem as well as the expected and actual outputs. Note that you will need to create a free GitHub account (if you do not have one already) in order to submit an issue. Instructions for creating an account can be found here.

For those that do not wish to submit bug reports or help requests through GitHub, the CHIANTI Google group remains active. Instructions for joining can be found here: https://www.chiantidatabase.org/help.html.

While the CHIANTI IDL software is now hosted on GitHub, the distribution and installation of the software remains unchanged. Updates will continue to be pushed to SolarSoft as appropriate and standalone versions can still be found via the CHIANTI webpage.
