KU Leuven and the Centre for mathematical Plasma Astrophysics would like to invite to “A Day of Remembrance: Prof. Giovanni Lapenta’s Scientific Legacy” one-day event on May 28, 2025, where we wish to honor the life and scientific legacy of Professor Giovanni Lapenta, whose groundbreaking work in plasma physics, High Performance Computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence has advanced research on space plasmas and fusion. One year after his passing, we come together to celebrate his seminal contributions bringing together colleagues, collaborators, and friends to share insights, reflect on his impactful work, and discuss future directions inspired by his contributions.
