The MCNS astrophysics research group is especially interested in candidates with expertise in accretion in compact binary systems, the physics of active galactic nuclei, and solar and solar system physics.
Successful applicants will join the astrophysics research team at MCNS, collaborating with students and postdoctoral researchers. Although MCNS does not possess large astronomical observational facilities, researchers are encouraged to utilise national and international facilities for their research pursuits.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of post-doctoral experience at a reputable institution and an excellent publication record. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with postgraduate teaching experience, a history of mentoring research students, and a proven ability to secure external research funding.
