I encourage you to continue to reach out to stakeholders on Capitol Hill to advocate for federal support for science, both individually to your House and Senate offices as well as through your institutional governmental relations offices.

Specifically, please consider taking part in the AGU Days of Action, with the first interval planned for 14-25 April 2025, when members of Congress are in their home districts. Please call them at their home district offices, attend events they host, and set up a meeting with them.

To equip you to better convey your message to political stakeholders, I encourage you to check out the AGU Sharing Science and Science Policy webpages: https://www.agu.org/share-and-advocate/share

In addition to the traditional “big funders” of space physics and space weather research, like NASA, NSF, and NOAA, it is important to discuss the other government agencies that also directly support the field, such as the US Geological Survey, Department of Energy (including National Labs), US Space Force, and DoD Research Labs and Offices of Scientific Research. Your messages are being heard; please be vigilant.
